When Should You Use an Online PDF Editor?
An online PDF editor is useful when you need to make a quick change to an existing document without installing desktop software. Common cases include:
- Correcting a typo or outdated detail in an existing PDF
- Updating supported text, such as a name, date, or figure
- Adjusting the font size or color of existing text before sharing a document
- Making a small change to a document before sending or printing it

Text editing is different from editing a scanned image or restructuring a complex PDF layout. NexifyTool edits the real text already inside a PDF's supported fonts — it doesn't perform OCR on scanned pages or let you redesign a page's underlying layout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit PDF text online?
Yes. NexifyTool automatically detects the text already in your PDF and makes it available to edit directly in the browser. Support depends on the PDF's structure and fonts — most standard text-based PDFs work, but some fonts or encodings can't be safely edited and won't be selectable.
Can I change the font size in a PDF?
Yes. Select a piece of text and use the font size controls in the toolbar to increase or decrease it. The change is written into the exported PDF.
Can I change PDF text color?
Yes. Select a piece of text and choose a new color from the toolbar. The color change is applied to the actual PDF content and is included when you export the file.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Not directly. NexifyTool doesn't include OCR, so a scanned page that's really just an image of text has no underlying text layer to edit. Pages with a real, selectable text layer can be edited normally.
Does the editor support every PDF?
No. Some PDFs use unsupported fonts, encryption or password protection, or unusual internal structures that prevent safe text editing, and text stored as an image can't be edited without OCR. The editor won't offer an edit option for text it can't safely modify.
How do I save an edited PDF?
After making your changes, use the Export & Download PDF button to save the edited document to your device.
Do I need to install software?
No. The editor runs in your web browser, so there's nothing to download or install. It works in modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Are my uploaded PDF files private?
